Belio Kipsang

Belio Kipsang is a career civil servant who has authored highly competent academic and research papers in the areas of Higher Education Financing and Planning.

He served in the Ministry of Education as its Principal Secretary for eight years, but was recently reshuffled to the State Department of Regional Development as the PS in charge of Regional and Northern Corridor Development in February 2021.

Yukabeth Kidenda

Yukabeth Kidenda is the co-founder of Teach for Kenya, an organisation aimed at supporting underprivileged communities to access quality education.

She founded the organization Human Link through which she was able to support hundreds of at-risk youth in Kenya through mentorship, academic assistance, and healthcare.  

Chris Khaemba

Christopher Situma Khaemba is the former headteacher of Alliance High School and the founding dean of the African Leadership Academy in South Africa. He founded the academy in 2008 after moving to the southern Africa Country.

Widely regarded as one of Africa's leading educationists, Khaemba was named the head administrator of the new institution at its inception in September 2008. 

Tonee Ndung'u

Tonee Ndung'u is a technological architect behind the revolutionary company, Kytabu, that provides digital textbooks and educational resources for students in Kenya.

Kytabu is a textbook subscription application for android tablets reducing the cost of a book by more than 40 per cent increasing widespread access to information.

Bitange Ndemo

Prof. Bitange Ndemo is an Associate professor in Entrepreneurship and Research Methods and Management lecturer at the School of Business, University of Nairobi (UoN).

The ICT specialist is a former Permanent Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Information and Communication. 

Joel Lutomiah

Dr. Lutomiah has over 40 years of research experience. He's an expert in parasitology, entomology, pandemic influenza, & arbovirology. 

He's written dozens of scientific papers & he leads 6,000 top minds at Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri).

Dr Sarah Ruto

Dr. Ruto is the Chairperson of Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) Council. She was appointed to the position on October 16, 2019.

Chao Mbogo

Dr. Mbogo graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town in December 2015. Her research focuses on supporting learners from resource-constrained environments, to learn programming on their mobile phones. 

Ngugi wa Thiong'o

Ngugi wa Thiong'o is a Kenyan writer and academic who writes primarily in Gikuyu. His work includes novels, plays, short stories, and essays, ranging from literary and social criticism to children's literature.

He is the founder and editor of the Gikuyu-language journal Mũtĩiri. His short story The Upright Revolution: Or Why Humans Walk Upright, is translated into 94 languages from around the world.
