3 Suspected Bombers Arrested at Garden City Mall

Three terror suspects have been arrested while trying to sneak an explosive device into the newly opened Garden City mall.

A Bomb squad was deployed to respond to the suspected bomb attack.

A small handheld device was found on one of the suspects after the man began acting suspiciously.

Security agents evacuated shoppers and directed them to the parking area, shutting down the mall from public access.

The recovered device was successfully neutralized by the Government's EOD (Explosive Ordinance Department) after snifer dogs confirmed that the device was live.

Police spokesman George Kinoti said the three men in custody were all Kenyans.

The Kenyan Security forces have been on high alert since the attack on the Westgate Mall that killed about 67 people two years ago.
