AlcoBlow Announcement 'Disappoints' Drivers

Following unconfirmed reports that the country had run out of AlcoBlows, a section of motorists have been in a 'celebratory' mood since the information surfaced early this week.

The reports emerged after the National Transport Safety Authority (NTSA) officials could not be spotted along major Nairobi roads over the past weekend.

However, through its Twitter page, the authority sought to settle the matter.

“We would like to clarify that we have not run out of breathalyser and our operations are ongoing, we continue being committed to,” NTSA tweeted on Thursday.

The message was followed by another warning motorists against driving while drunk.

The authority promised to intensify operations during the weekend when many drivers engage in drink-driving.

A section of the public reacted by daring the authority to prove it still had the breathalysers, while some members of the public bragged that they would come up with escape routes.

We would like to clarify that we have not ran out of breathalyser & our operations are ongoing,we continue being committed to #RoadSafety.
