CORD's New Plan for 2017

CORD Leader Raila Odinga has announced a new bid to strengthen his 2017 presidential bid. Odinga added a new team to his campaign strategists as he sought to get ready for the coming general election.

The former Prime Minister hired Andrew Mondoh as the lead administrative adviser. Mondoh confirmed the appointment admitting that he had been hired for consultancy.

“Yes, I have come on board as an adviser, largely on consultancy basis on administrative matters,” Nation quoted Mondoh.

Odinga has also brought on board George Mboya to re-strategize the Okoa Kenya Secretariat which is said to be pivotal to CORD's mission. The Opposition is alleged to be designing a stronger plan to challenge for the presidency in the 2017 elections.

There has been some jitters regarding CORD's presidential flag bearer with other principals, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula also expressing their interest in the presidential race.

However, Wetangula has assured their supporters that they would amicably make the decision.

“The issue will be decided by the three of us. We shall be locked in a room for as long as possible as you wait outside. When you finally see white smoke coming out of the room, then you will know you have your candidate,” he said.

Deputy President William Ruto had earlier on dared the Opposition claiming that they were not ready for 2017 since they neither had an approved candidate nor a party.
