It's Wrong, Yego Tells EABL

Julius Yego, who set a new national record for the javelin throw at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing has told off East African Breweries Limited (EABL) for using his name to boost promotion of their brand.

In a Facebook post Yego commented on the Tusker advertisement expressing his disapproval for the use of his victory in the commercial.

The advert is a silhouette of a man throwing a javelin with the word 'YEGOLD! A WORLD LEADING RECORDS IN JAVELIN THROW #TEAMKENYA'.

Yego said that it was wrong and that he was not doing branding for Tusker.

The Javelin Champion registered his best performance on Wednesday when he won gold after achieving a 92,72m super throw.

Yego who learnt the game on YouTube was named the Orange Internet ambassodor in 2013 a deal that was to last for two years.
