MP Captured On Video Inciting Youth To Violence

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is in yet another controversy after a video of him inciting youth to violence surfaced online.

In the video in which he speaks in English and Kikuyu, the MP asks the youth to use machetes to cut those opposing the National Youth Service (NYS).

In a report, The Star has translated the video, quoting Kuria telling the youth that he had requested them to bring pangas not just for slashing, but to chop the opposers of NYS.

The video was posted on Facebook by blogger Robert Alai.

It shows crowds gathered at a rally, some youth dressed in NYS regalia.

The MP has in the past found himself in court over utterances meant to incite.

On several occasions, he has been accused of posting hate speech messages on his Facebook account.

His NYS utterances come in the wake of an ongoing scandal facing the NYS in which an attempt to misappropriate funds as allegedly made.

Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru is appearing before the parliamentary committee today to explain the alleged fraudulent transactions at the NYS.
