Parents Storm School Over Head teacher's Demand For Vacation

Chaos erupted in Nyakiambi Primary School, Nakuru, when parents stormed the institution after the head teacher sent their children home for failing to pay money to fund teachers' trip.

The vacation which was to be in to Mombasa was meant to appreciate teachers for good performance the school posted in 2015 national examinations.

The angry parents brought learning to a standstill as they flushed pupils from classes accusing the school head of soliciting money from them just because the school had performed well.

One of the parents stated that their gesture to reward the teachers was not something that should be forced out of them, adding they would do it at their own time.

They further revealed that the head teacher was constantly demanding payment of money that he could not account for.

The irate parents are now calling on the Government to get rid of the school head.

However, according to a K24 report, the head teacher claimed that the parents had promised to fund the trip.
