PHOTOS: Here are the Most Flooded Nairobi Roads

Motorists around Nairobi City have been advised to take caution after heavy rains pounded various areas causing heavy floods.

The rains caught many unaware with reports of the flush floods dragging away vehicles along various roads in the Capital.

Road users who were heading home were stranded with some being forced to swim in the raging waters to rescue themselves from drowning.

Some of the most affected roads included Thika Superhighway which was reported to have blocked between Muthaiga and Utalii, Pangani area and Ojijo road in Parklands and Kenyatta Avenue.

Nairobi police boss Leonard Katana advised motorists to seek alternative routes to avoid being caught up in the floods which caused traffic snarl up along different roads.

The County has previously been faced with the same menace with Governor Evans Kidero assuring that his government was keen on tackling the issue.
