The famous football supporter was held at the station for questioning and is expected to be charged on Friday.

Soja is accused of leading a group of fans to attack Mr Kilo after Gor Mahia lost a Confederation of Africa match played at Nyayo Stadium.

According to the official who reportedly sought medication at Nairobi Hospital, Jaro mobilised a group of supporters asking them to attack him following the club's poor performance.

In 2014, the ardent football fan was awarded a job by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Sports Stadia Management Board when he visited State House together with other football officials.
