PHOTOS: Government Vehicle Caught Transporting Chang'aa

Police have impounded a parastatal vehicle that was found transporting Chang'aa.

According to the police, over 400 litres of the illicit brew were nabbed inside the car, after it was involved in an accident at Rironi area on Nairobi-Nakuru Highway. 

Confirming the incident, Limuru OCPD Mohammed Bakuli stated that the vehicle belongs to the Kenya Urban Roads Authority.

Mr Bakuli noted that vehicle was heading towards Nairobi from Western region, when the driver lost control causing the vehicle to roll on the road.

The driver, who is alleged to have been drunk, and other occupants of the vehicle are reported to have escaped after the Saturday night incident.

“The driver lost control of the vehicle, and it rolled. All the occupants run away. Our officers didn’t find anyone at the scene except the onlookers and other motorists” Bakuli said.

The Toyota Prado was towed to Tigoni police station, where police are investigating the source of the illicit brew.
