Four students were reportedly killed and scores injured on Friday morning after two vehicles they were travelling in collided.
The accident happened along the Mwea-Makutano road in Kirinyaga County when the 14-seater vans lost control.
The learners are said to have been heading home for the midterm holiday when the crash happened.
The accident caused a scene in which the students' belongings and those of other travellers were scattered on the road.
Police officers arrived at the scene to start investigations into the incident.
