Angry parents stormed Iltaret primary school in Kajiado County and flushed out pupils, teachers and surbordinate staff members before closing the institution indefinitely.
The parents decried poor performance in the school citing disappointment by the school’s 2015 KCPE results in which the top student scored 171 marks.
They blamed the teachers for the poor performance claiming that they were lazy.
The outraged parents highlighted that the deteriorating performance had been going on year after year thus prompting them to take the drastic action.
They added that with poor performance they had no place to take their children.
However, a senior teacher at the school, Paul Seki, told the parents that closing the facility would not solve the problem, challenging them to allow for talks with the institution.
