NTV's Larry Madowo caused a buzz among a section of his supporters after a video emerged showing him getting drunk with Kiss FM's Shaffie Weru cheering him on at an entertainment joint in Milan, Italy.
Madowo, who was in the company of Shaffie and NTV Managing Editor Linus Kaikai, was filmed taking an Italian brandy despite maintaining that he was not a drunkard. The three had flown to Milan to watch the Champions League final match pitting Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid.
In the video, The Trend show host is introduced to a new brand named Pompinos after which a waiter gives him lessons on how to drain the Italian cocktail.
Madowo went ahead to take two tots of the drink as fellow revellers clapped and cheered him on. However, the brandy seemingly took effect on him as he was heard babbling words while leaving the bar and as he was being driven to his hotel room.
Upon arrival at the hotel, the journalist continued with the party as he kept drinking from a bottle of wine with Shaffie urging him on as he (Madowo) recorded the whole experience.
