Waiguru Reveals Who She Fears Most In Governor Race

After announcing plans to vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the next General Election, former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru has now revealed who she fears most in the race to clinch the city's top job.

In a radio interview on Tuesday, Waiguru said that Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko would be a great competitor in the contest.

“Sonko is a force to reckon with, I must say,” she stated.

The former CS further revealed that she thinks that former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru, who has also expressed interest in the Governorship, was a great and able contestant

Waiguru asserted that since Wanjiru had been in politics before, she is able to carry out good campaigns.

In the same dialogue, Waiguru reiterated that she was still considering vying for the Governor's seat.

On Monday, TNA chairman Johnson Sakaja also confirmed that he would be going for the top seat in the county.

"I'm running for Nairobi Governor seat. Kindly treat this as not being a rumour and hopefully my running mate will be from Central Kenya." Sakaja stated.
