Health CS Mutahi Kagwe on Friday, March 27, announced that in the last 24 hours, 156 cases had been tested and all cases had returned negative.
Speaking during the daily press briefing from Afya House, the CS added that the number of confirmed cases still stood at 31, with two of the cases in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The CS stated that the two were being monitored closely but were in a stable condition at the Aga Khan Hospital.
"In the last 24 hours, a total of 156 samples from suspected cases have been tested in various laboratories in Kenya. All the 156 cases have tested negative," Mutahi stated.
In addition, Mutahi stated that the 31 cases were spread out in five counties namely; Nairobi, Kajiado, Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale.
He noted that within the five counties, Nairobi is leading with 21 positive coronavirus cases followed by Kilifi with six, Mombasa with two cases while Kajiado and Kwale has one each.
Additionally, the CS stated that of the 31 confirmed cases, 19 were men while 12 were women.
So far, the CS stated that 752 persons had been tested for the deadly coronavirus disease.
Mutahi assured that from Sunday, March 29, the government would embark on mass testing for more than 2,000 persons who arrived in the Country from Sunday, March 22.
On Thursday, March 26, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi announced that there were three new confirmed cases of Covid-19.
Speaking during the daily press briefing outside Afya House, Nairobi, the CAS revealed that the new patients were all Kenyans who had close contact with previously confirmed cases.
