PSC Announces 745 Job Vacancies, How to Apply

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced a total of 745 job vacancies in various government agencies targeting Kenyans.

In a notice carried in local dailies on Wednesday, December 15, the commission, which is in charge of hiring for several state agencies, announced that the application process was open till Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

The vacancies arose from 10 state departments including that of Devolution, Fisheries, Shipping and Maritime as well as Public Works.

Other departments were Tourism, Northern Corridor Development, East African Community, Trade, Physical Planning and the Kenya Prisons Service.

Kenya Prisons Service led the park with the highest number of vacancies which stood at 611 followed by the State Department of fisheries which had 40 vacancies.

In individual job sections, the Superintendent of Prisons post recorded the highest vacancies which stood at 340 followed by the Senior Superintendent of Prisons position which had 126 vacancies.

Assistant Commissioner of Prisons position has 35 vacant slots while that of the Assistant Director of Fisheries and Blue Economy recorded 27 vacant positions.

How to Apply

All first time users of the Online Recruitment and Selection system on pscjobs.co.ke are required to register by providing ID or a Passport number, surname, current email address and a password to access the system.

To apply for the advertised jobs, log into the system using the ID/Passport Number and the Password created above.

An applicant must then ensure that information pertaining to personal details, professional and academic qualifications, experience, membership to professional bodies, referees and any other relevant information is provided before submitting the application. Incomplete applications are usually not considered.

The applicants are advised to print and keep a copy of the Feedback Report (application summary) by clicking on the Report tab or Application Summary link on the Application Menu.

The Online Recruitment and Selection system allows applicants to amend their application at any time before the advert closure date.
