An elated Nick walked with a stick to signify the importance of the journey ahead of him as he sought permission and blessings from his soon-to-be in-laws to marry their daughter.

In May last year, Ruto's daughter June tied the knot with her Nigerian fiance Dr Alexander Ezenagu in an elegant ceremony.

The wedding ceremony took place at Ruto's private residence along Koitobos Road in Karen, Nairobi. After the DP moved into his official residence in the same neighbourhood, the family home was turned into a VIP Guest House for clients from Weston hotel.

According to videos seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the wedding had a white theme with a dash of pink. Guests who had arrived at the venue were snugged in their seats as they waited for the bride and groom.
