Lulu Hassan

Lulu Hassan is a leading Kenyan television news anchor and reporter with Citizen TV.  She hosts Citizen Nipashe and Wikendi news bulletins in Swahili alongside her husband Rashid Abdalla.

She earlier trained as a cabin crew hostess, human resource manager, and ticketing officer after her high school before studying Communication and Journalism.

Wachira Waruru

Wachira Waruru is the Group Managing Director of Royal Media Services which owns Citizen TV, Inooro TV and 12 other radio stations.

Waruru has been the Managing Director since 2007 where he is credited with shaping and driving the growth and expansion of Royal Media Services which has seen Citizen TV and radio stations dominate in their respective segments.

Victoria Rubadiri

Victoria Rubadiri is Citizen TV News Anchor whose career in media started in the US working as an intern for an international TV station. 

Upon moving back to Kenya, she joined Capital FM where she doubled up as a business journalist and a news anchor in 2012. Later on, she joined Nation Media Group (NMG) and then switched to Royal Media Service (RMS) in 2018. 

Jamila Mohamed

She is the Managing Editor at Citizen TV. She previously managed the Programming and Content Development division at Nation Media Group and also served as News Editor, News Anchor/Reporter at NTV. 

Also served as Managing Editor QTV Kenya in 2015. 

Jamila graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Nairobi (UoN)

She also holds a Master’s degree in International Conflict Management from the UoN. 

Lulu Hassan

Lulu Hassan is a celebrated Citizen TV Swahili news anchor. She co-hosts the Nipashe Wikendi bulletin with her husband Rashid Abdallah.

When she is not anchoring the news, she is either chasing a human-interest feature or leading the production of award-winning Swahili soap operas under her company Jiffy Pictures. 

In 2019, Lulu aired a feature series titled Prison Diaries, where she helped family members reconcile with their loved ones.

Yvonne Okwara

Citizen TV’s Yvonne Okwara is one who is never shy to speak her thoughts. She is a fearless lady, who will call out a politician or anyone in authority for something that they have done wrong.

She is known for her elaborate Explainer segment, and tough stand on News Gang’s Yvonne’s Take alongside other notable journalists including Linus Kaikai, Joe Ageyo, Jamila Mohammed and Francis Gachuri.

Willy M Tuva

Willy M Tuva is both a radio and TV presenter, who works for the Royal Media Services.

The presenter, who hosts Mambo Mseto on Radio Citizen FM and the Mseto East Africa show on Citizen TV, was named the best radio and TV presenter in Africa at the  Afrika Muzik Magazine Awards (Afrimma) held in Texas, USA in October 2019.

Wachira Waruru

Wachira Waruru is the Group Managing Director of Royal Media Services which owns Citizen TV, Inooro TV and 12 other radio stations.

In September this year, under his supervision, the station’s elite investigative reporters Asha Mwilu and Waihiga Mwaura exposed brazen corruption that cost the Maasai Mara University approximately Ksh190 million.

Vice-Chancellor Mary Walingo was kicked sent on compulsory leave on Wednesday, September 11, soon after the damning exposé on Citizen TV.
