Former Chief Agent of ODM leader Raila Odinga, Saitabao Ole Kanchory, has sensationally claimed that the former Prime Minister had a master plan to make President William Ruto a one-term president.

Speaking in an interview on Spice FM, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Kanchory revealed that the much-talked-about 10-point agenda was never meant to be a joint government initiative.

"The 10-point agenda was not one where ODM was supposed to do together with UDA, but were demands that the Kenya Kwanza administration was supposed to implement," he stated.

The former chief agent dismissed claims that Raila joined the government, clarifying that only experts were donated.

"I have heard people say that Raila left us in government; he did not. Raila left Mbadi, Wandayi, Joho, and Oparanya in government," Kanchory remarked.

He emphasized that Raila never asked his supporters to back Ruto or join the government.

According to Kanchory, the 10-point agenda was deliberately time-bound, ending in 2026, a year before the 2027 elections.

He claimed Raila strategically gave Ruto until March 2026 to implement the agenda, knowing the tasks would require more than a year to complete.

According to Kanchory, with only four months remaining, Ruto has reportedly not accomplished any of the agreed-upon points.

In the interview, he stressed that in the last words of Raila Odinga, he stated, "Who told you that ODM will not have a candidate?"

He warned that backing Ruto would spell the end of ODM, but fielding a presidential candidate would make the party formidable.

He insisted that the party remains a national movement with widespread support across Kenya.
