Detectives have dramatically rearrested a man charged with impersonating a Kenya Air Force Brigadier and defrauding parents millions at the Milimani Law Courts, after he appeared for a case hearing.

The accused KDF impersonator had appeared for a case hearing on December 9, 2025, following his release on bond on November 24, 2025, when he was first charged in court.

Videos of the man being swiftly arrested by detectives from the DCI surfaced on social media. The accused fake KDF officer is seen leaving the court doors accompanied by two individuals suspected to be DCI officers.

The accused was seen hiding his face during the arrest, trying to block journalists who were capturing the moment on camera.

He was then handcuffed by the officers in full glare of the cameras. The man tried to avoid journalists by hiding behind cars at the Milimani car parking space.

The accused was later guided to a police vehicle where he is believed to have been taken into custody by the detectives.

The man was arrested on November 17, 2025, at his Milimani residence by officers from the DCI. At the time of his arrest, he was dressed in a full military uniform, with complete Brigadier insignia and Gorget patches.

The suspect was arrested after a member of the public tipped off the DCI after noticing suspicious activity involving recruitment letters for the Recruit Training School (RTS) in Eldoret.

During the arrest, detectives recovered six forged admission letters purporting to be from the Ministry of Defence, seven calling letters all bearing identical serial numbers, and seven fingerprint forms.

He was also found with a Yilmaz Defence Industry manual, a personal ID card, a blue stamp pad, a KCSE certificate suspected to belong to one of his victims, and keys to a white Toyota Axio hidden in his house.

While appearing in court on November 24, 2025, the man denied the charges against him and was released on a KSh 1 million bond or KSh 500,000 cash bail.

The man is accused of defrauding parents of KDF hopefuls of more than KSh 1.2 million in his fake KDF recruitment scheme during the national Kenya Defence Force recruitment drive that took place between October 13, 2025, and October 25, 2025.
