Two Groups of Youth Clash Over Number of Terms NASA Leader Raila Odinga Should Vie if he Becomes President

There was tension is Kisumu on Thursday morning after two groups of youth clashed over the number of terms NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga should serve if he wins the August General Election.

The groups took their rivalry to the streets but no casualties have been reported so far.

Leaders from the region claimed the youth had been paid by a senior politician from the region who has since shifted allegiance to Jubilee Party but did not mention his name.

Earlier this year, Odinga announced that if elected President in August, he would serve for one term in line with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the five NASA co-principals.

He would then step aside to allow his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka vie in the 2022 election.

Raila, however, noted: "But if the alliance does not win the August election, the agreement will not hold water."

The coalition also has Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya), Isaac Rutto (CCM) and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) to are eyeing the Presidential seat in future.
