5 Must-Watch Movies Available on Showmax This September

September is set to be an exciting month, especially for Kenyans who love watching movies, with many exciting movies having already premiered on the big screen.

But with the weather being chilly in most parts of the country, you probably don’t want to leave the house, and there’s no better way to spend your free time than by watching some excellent movies at home.

Here are five movies that you don't want to miss this September.

1. Katikati

Katikati (in the middle) is the Kenyan drama film that has been all the rage this year.

The Mbithi Masya film is about a young woman named Kaleche (played by Nyokabi Gethaiga) who finds herself in the middle of the wilderness with no recollection of how she got there.

She makes her way to Katikati, a nearby lodge, where she is informed that she is dead and can never leave the lodge.

2. Music is Our Weapon

This film portrays the philosophy of SARABI, the most enthralling band in Kenya, who continue to build a bridge between all different social classes with their music.

3. Something Necessary

Set in the unrest after the 2007 Kenyan elections, this touching drama is about a widow struggling to rebuild her life and the young gangster who is drawn to her.

4. Intellectual Scum

Onboard, a commercial airplane, Ruwe, an intellectual, sits next to a white man, Walter. During the flight, they have an utterly brutal conversation, and Ruwe learns why people like Walter blame the intellectuals for Africa's current problems.

5. Fundimentals

Joseph and Moses think they are the "best fundis" in Kinoo, but to avoid going out of business, they introduce their female customers to a new express service.
