Dagoretti North MP-elect Simba Arati Storms IEBC Offices Claiming They are Altering Form 34A

There was drama at the Anniversary Towers on Wednesday evening after Dagoretti North MP-elect Simba Arati stormed the IEBC offices claiming the commission was making changes to forms 34A.

Mr Arati stated that the forms from 290 constituencies were being changed by ICT officials before being uploaded to the public portal.

"I received information from a very reliable source of criminal activities happening here and I came to confirm," he was quoted by the Star.

He further added that he found a team of youth working on the documents and expressed confidence that the National Super Alliance (NASA) had strong evidence that would be presented in court.

"The team told us they were just verifying the information to ensure they marched with what is uploaded but we know they are hiding the truth," said Arati.

Members of the opposition have maintained that there is something fishy with how IEBC handled the election and their failure to produce forms 34A suggests something is not right.

On Tuesday, IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba, in a letter dated August 14 told NASA: "We are, however, not able to supply forms 34A at the moment."

"The same shall be made available to you as soon as possible.

"Kindly bear with us as we work round the clock to serve you," he said.

The opposition announced on Wednesday that they would challenge the election results at the Supreme Court after the decalaration of President Uhuru Kenyatta as winner of the Presidential election.
