Musalia Mudavadi Reveals Why IEBC Deputy Presiding Officer Caroline Odinga Was Murdered

National Super Alliance (NASA) Leader Musalia Mudavadi has made new revelations on the murder of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Deputy Presiding Officer Caroline Odinga, who was found murdered in Siaya County.

Speaking at Milimani Guest House in Kakamega, Mudavadi stated that Ms Odinga's murder had something to do with the petition filed by NASA against IEBC.

The ANC Leader claimed that the killers were seeking to tamper with the NASA evidence contained in the presidential petition presented to the Supreme Court last week.

"As NASA we are concerned over the death of IEBC officials, we buried slain ICT director Chris Msando just yesterday and now we are hearing that a Deputy Presiding Officer has been found murdered," Mudavadi stated.

Mudavadi, however, expressed confidence that the Supreme Court would make a ruling in favour of NASA once it examined the evidence contained in the presidential petition.

Ms Odinga was found murdered a day after the commission's ICT Manager Chris Msando was laid to rest in his Lifunga Kobiero home in Ugenya, Siaya County.

The Presiding officer's body was discovered in a thicket at Sega trading Centre in the County.

Siaya County Police Commander, Mrs Sarah Duncan, stated that they got information about the death of the Ms Odinga from residents who were on their way to attend Msando's burial in Lifunga village.

Initial police investigations showed that Ms Odinga was gang-raped before being killed while further reports indicated that her genitals and left ear were badly mutilated.
