Man Confesses to Killing Two Police Officers in Kiambu

A man was arrested on Wednesday after he walked into a church in Ngong, and confessed to a pastor that he was among those who killed two police officers in Kiambu last week.

The unidentified man claimed he was among gunmen who shot dead Martin Irungu and Paul Maina.

The two policemen were gunned down by unknown attackers at Miti Kenda area in Kibichoi.

According to witnesses, the gunmen pumped four bullets into each of the officers before they jumped on waiting motorcycles and rode off.

They also took away an AK47 rifle from one of the officers.

Police say the man has since named a number of suspects believed to have been involved in the murder of the officers.

Earlier this week, husband to slain 'Nairobi's prettiest gangster' Cleah Adi Vybez was shot dead in Weitethie, Ruiru.

Mwani, as he was popularly known, was gunned down together with his closest friend Willy.

He was allegedly a ring leader of the dreaded Gaza group and had killed cops in Kayole and Utawala in January this year.
