ODM Chairman John Mbadi Reveals Why NASA Wants IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba Out Of Commission

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chairman John Mbadi has revealed why the National Super Alliance (NASA) wants IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba out of the commission before the fresh October elections are held.

During a panel discussion on NTV on Wednesday, the Suba South Member of Parliament disclosed that the Opposition coalition arrived at the names after reviewing a report from the Supreme Court explaining the decision to nullify President Uhuru Kenyatta's win.

"We are not just throwing names. The Report of the Registrar of the Supreme Court is already out which mentioned where the problems were in the August polls.

"The report mentions issues in the penetration tests that were meant to ascertain the security of the system. Secondly, there were questions about the security provider and who was responsible for all these? It is the CEO Ezra Chiloba," he proclaimed.

He added that the report also implicated other departments in the electoral body for failing to carry out their duties in accordance with the electoral laws.

"The other thing the Supreme Court noted as failing is the results transmission system, which the Head of IT James Muhati was responsible for. Likewise, the issues about the Forms 34A, 34B that had no watermarks or serial numbers and not signed were all under the Head of the Directorate Immaculate Kassait.

"You don't need to wait for the full verdict. The problem with Jubilee is that you switched off after the nullification and your lawyers did not concentrate on the report of the Judiciary," he stated.

On Tuesday, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati broke down some of the roles that were played by Chiloba's office and assigned those duties to a new team.
