How NASA Used Spies in IEBC to Get Evidence for Petition - MP Exposes

Cherangani Member of Parliament Joshua Kutuny has claimed that the National Super Alliance (NASA) used underhand tactics to get information from the electoral body during its presidential petition case at the Supreme Court.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, the Jubilee legislator alleged that the opposition coalition had operatives within the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) who leaked sensitive information to help them build their case.

“After investigations, I believe beyond reasonable doubt that NASA seems to have an upper hand indicating they have moles in the commission who supplied documentary evidence to back its petition,” he claimed.

Mr Kutuny added that NASA’s knowledge of how electoral malpractices were committed with exact details of time and location were suspect.

“Electoral anomalies cited by NASA such as fake ballot papers and unsigned forms 34A were reported in the opposition strongholds of Kisauni and Homa Bay. Why not in Jubilee strongholds?” he posed.

On Wednesday, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chairman John Mbadi explained why the National Super Alliance (NASA) had picked on certain IEBC officials whom they want to be suspended among them CEO Ezra Chiloba.

During a panel discussion on NTV, the Suba South Member of Parliament disclosed that the Opposition coalition arrived at the names after reviewing a report from the Supreme Court explaining the decision to nullify President Uhuru Kenyatta's win.

"We are not just throwing names. The Report of the Registrar of the Supreme Court is already out which mentioned where the problems were in the August polls.

"The report mentions issues in the penetration tests that were meant to ascertain the security of the system. Secondly, there were questions about the security provider and who was responsible for all these? It is the CEO Ezra Chiloba," he proclaimed.
