3 Best MPs in CDF Management

The National Board of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has named Kenya's top three Members of Parliament, based on how their constituencies used and managed the development funds allocated in 2014/2015 financial year.

Kibra led by MP Ken Okoth was ranked the best constituency in CDF management nationally.

Following closely in second position was Kabondo Kasipul headed by lawmaker Silvance  Osele, while the third best was James Mukwe's Kabuchai constituency.

The three legislators were awarded certificates of merit on behalf of their constituencies which topped the list of 6 other constituencies.

Other constituencies ranked among the top included:  Rabai (Kamoti Mwamkale), Garissa Township (Aden Duale),Githunguri (Peter Njoroge Baiya), Rongai (Kipruto Moi), Kapseret (Oscar Sudi), Kitui Central (Benson Mulu) out of the 290 evaluated constituencies.

The evaluation was conducted on five predetermined indicators: Financial, Service delivery, Operational, Dynamic and Non-financial Indicators.

The evaluators were drawn from the State Department of Planning and Statistics in the Ministry of Devolution and Planning, and the CDF Board.
