Raila Odinga's Aide Confirms the State of His Health

Raila Odinga's aide Dennis Onyango has broken the silence over his health after reports of him allegedly collapsing during a live match.

Media reports surfaced after the conclusion of a match between Kariobangi Sharks and Bandari FC at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Football enthusiast alleged that the ODM Party leader appeared to collapse as he handed K-Sharks the trophy after they trounced Bandari 1-0.

Onyango has, however, refuted the claims indicating that Raila is fine in Dar es Salaam where he watched the 2019 Sportpesa Cup finals.

"Images of security people holding him emerged from a step on the podium that was falling off and not anything to do with health. Thanks though to everyone who has expressed concern," the Communications Director in Raila's Secretariat stated.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino who is also a close ally of Raila equally rubbished the reports doing rounds on social media.

"The People's President Raila Odinga is very okay, avoid rumors that state otherwise. Baba ako gangari na imara kama Simba! (Raila is well and as strong as a lion)," Babu stated.

Following their victory, K-Sharks walked away with Ksh 3,000,000 and a chance to face Everton FC in Nairobi later this year.

The victory goal was a result of a brilliant goal-kick by Farouk Shikhalo which was picked by Harrison Mwendwa and slotted into the net.

Raila is a die-hard football enthusiast and he often graces major football matches especially those featuring Harambee Stars and Gor Mahia.
