He further clarified that only locals will be employed at the lodge.

“There’s going to be an announcement in the spring, about a new, global luxury brand. A good friend of mine who ran Six Senses from its inception, up to when InterContinental Group bought it, and my friends at the Discovery Land Development Corporation, they have a big announcement in the spring.

"And we’re working with them to build state-of-the-art sustainable camps in Kenya, that will come over the next couple of years," he stated.

The announcement came just months after former Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala, in March 2022, named the star as the Magical Kenya Tembo naming festival brand ambassador.

“We are proud to announce Edward Norton as the MagicalKenya Tembo Naming brand ambassador who has a life-long commitment to environmental conservation.

“We have had several discussions on how to boost Kenya’s biodiversity through conservation. Thank you for allowing to join us today and I am positive we will have a positive engagement going forward," announced Balala at the time.

Norton, in his acceptance speech, confirmed that he was determined to uplift the lives of millions of people to intertwine with the attention accorded to wild animals.

Apart from Knives Out where he stars alongside James Bond actor Daniel Craig, Norton has also appeared in Fight Club,  Incredible Hulk, Bourne Legacy and Red Dragon among others.
