Residents of Tigare, Migori county are in shock, following the discovery of the body of a student, with indications that he was murdered.
The victim's body was found in a forest near his home, with injuries police say are from being hit with a blunt object which could be the cause of death.
The third year student at Rongo University was on holiday, looking for industrial attachment.
Speaking to The Standard, Kuria West OCPD Paul Kiogora confirmed the incident and said that the body had been taken to Pastor Machage Memorial Hospital mortuary.
Investigations into the incident have been launched.
