A Nairobi businessman shot dead his wife on Tuesday night and turned the gun on himself in Tena Estate.
The incident happened on Tuesday around 10PM according to the police.
The businessman was seen chewing miraa on his balcony that evening, hours before the murder.
Daughter of the deceased told the police there were no signs of the parents when they woke up Wednesday morning. They found the bedroom door locked, prompting the police to break into, finding the two bodies lying on a pool of blood on the floor. The man had a gun still in his hand. He is a licenced gun holder.
A neighbor claimed she heard commotions in the house at around 10 pm followed by a loud bang. The children, 13 and 3 however denied hearing any noise during the night.
Buruburu OCPD and police officers visited the scene.
