Class 8 Leaver Killed After KCPE Party

A teenage boy was gunned down at his home in Baragoi, Samburu County after coming home from a celebration of good KCPE results at his school.

The boy arrived home from Baragoi Primary School at 12am when bandits stormed their homestead and killed him leaving other family members in shock.

Residents attempted to trail the raiders by following their footprints from the victims' home, but after several kilometres they could not trace the gunmen.

Samburu North Member of Parliament Alois Lentoimaga, grieved with the family noting that the boy's parents were hoping that their son would be admitted to form one in February.

“This was a young man with bright future as he performed well...now he is not there because of crooks,” said Mr  Lentoimaga.

Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal also condemned the incident and called for hightened security in the area.

“We want to urge our security agencies to follow up on the issue because the culprits are known,” said the Governor.

The body of the deceased was taken to Samburu County Referral hospital.
