County Askaris in Court For Robbery With Violence

Four askaris from Meru County were arraigned in court for robbery with violence.

The prosecution presented the ironic tale of the officials who were accused of attacking and robbing businessman Charles Njiru of 1.3 million shillings.

The said offense was allegedly committed on the 11th of April this year, at Nkubu market.

The suspects however denied the charges.

A Nkubu principal magistrate set the hearing date for 4th of September this year.

The four were released on a Sh.30,000 bond and a surety of the same amount.
