EXCLUSIVE: Government and Not Ruto Will Pay Size 8's Maternity Bill

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke on Tuesday, Gospel songbird Size 8 revealed that the government would be settling her maternity hospital bill.

This is contrary to what she had told the Standard on Monday, in which she confirmed that Deputy President William Ruto would be paying for her maternity bill when she delivers in four months time.

The two met during Jaguar's Youth Empowerment Foundation launch on Wednesday last week. It was then that Ruto urged the singer to take advantage of the free maternal health care offered in public hospitals.

However, the energetic performer said that she would be having her baby at the Karen Hospital, one of the most prestigious facilities in the country.

“I can’t wait for the baby to come. This is the best thing that ever happened to my life. I love Karen Hospital and the Deputy President should be ready to settle that small bill…my delivery room has already been booked, four months ahead of the delivery!” she said.

The overjoyed singer also talked about her special relationship with the Deputy President's family.

"His wife and daughter are my friends out of the fact that they love my music, especially the song Mateke, and so my husband Mo and I are grateful for the offer,” she said

Size 8 is a popular gospel artist married to a well known entertainer, DJ MO. The two are expecting their first baby.
