A woman in Chemelil, Kisumu County, furiously attacked her husband who is a chief causing him serious injuries.
The neighbours said that the Chief, who had spent a night out, returned to his worked up wife on Sunday morning when a brawl ensued between the two.
It is said that the couple were in a troublesome marriage and that it was not the first time they engaged in a vicious fight.
The woman who is now on the run, is reported to have descended on her husband without giving the administrator an opportunity to explain himself.
Muhoroni OCPD, Erastus Mungera, confirmed the incident saying that the police were hot on the heels of the attacker, NTV reports.
Doctors have however, described the Chief's condition as stable.
