The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has announced an increase in fuel prices.
ERC has announced an increase of petrol prices by Sh3.54 per litre, diesel by Sh1.86 per litre and Kerosene for Sh2.03 per litre.
The new prices come to effect from midnight, Thursday.
Fuel shortage has been witnessed since Saturday 9, an incident that has been attributed to attempts by dealers to hoard fuel waiting for this months announcement in which an increase in prices was anticipated.
ERC has cautioned oil marketing companies against hoarding petroleum products terming it as illegal adding that the companys found culpable of such an activity risk cancellation of their operating license, The Nation reports.
