IEBC Sacks Presiding Officer In the Kabete By-Elections

The Independent Electoral & Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has sacked a Presiding officer in the Kabete by-elections.

The officer is alleged to have been using  a manual voter identification register during the voting process instead of the Electronic Voter Identification Device (EVID).

According to the area's returning officer Esther Wanjiku the presiding officer has been arrested and investigations launched to establish the reason why he opted to use the manual system instead of the Electronic Voter Identification Device (EVID).
