Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna was hosted by popular journalist Jeff Koinange on Citizen TV Wednesday evening and he took the opportunity to give an insight on all his competitors.
Several leaders including Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, businessman Peter Kenneth and current governor Evans Kidero are all eyeing the governorship in what is set to be an intense battle.
Sonko and Kenneth squared it out in the Jubilee Party nominations, with the results yet to be announced while Kidero was given direct nomination by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Miguna tore into each of them and started by bashing Sonko as a ‘self-confessed thief who should be in jail.’
He stated that Sonko had previously admitted his involvement in crime during a TV interview and should be in jail.
“Sonko is not qualified to be anything...he has a criminal record,” he reiterated.
He further claimed that the flamboyant politician lacked basic skills required to manage the county.
On Kidero, the former Prime Minister’s aide claimed the governor had looted Nairobi dry and was behind the collapse of several corporations he headed.
When asked about Kenneth’s academic credentials, Miguna was quick to emphasise that the former Gatanga MP failed his A-level examinations and his enrollment to university 20 years later cements the fact that he failed.
He went ahead to reveal that although he had many enemies who held powerful positions in government, none would dare sue him because he always tabled facts.
