PHOTO: Kenyans Attack Villagers for Pushing Governor's Car

An image of a Governor's car stuck in the mud, with some locals trying to push it out has sparked an online storm, with Kenyans on social media expressing their disappointment with the act of kindness by the spotted villagers.

The vehicle allegedly belonging to Tharaka Nithi Governor Samuel Ragwa, was stranded in an extremely dilapidated road following the heavy rains.

Many were not happy with those who assisted to get the vehicle out of mud, with some saying that they ought to have left it there for 12 hours, adding that the Governor was responsible for the poor state of the road.

The 'good samaritans' were further criticised on social media for being short-sighted and only focused on the 'Sh20 they would get after their service'.

A few however, thought that it was all a kind gesture.
