PHOTO: Musician Wants Ruto to Take Back Car Gift

A musician from Western region has appealed to Deputy President William Ruto to take back a car gift he received from him (Ruto) and modify it to be disabled friendly.

The Webuye Jua Kali band singer Daudi Zakari, who is living with disability, lamented that paying drivers had become expensive, hence requested Ruto to automate the car so he could drive himself.

"I am humbly appealing to the DP to modify this car so that I can drive myself and even work part time job as a taxi driver here in Webuye town," Zakari said while addressing the press in Webuye town, Bungoma County.

Zakari added that he even had his wife trained how to drive the car, so she could come handy during emergencies.

The car was presented to him by Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama at Masinde Muliro gardens in Webuye town, after Mr Zakari pulled an impressive performance at a fundraiser the DP had attended last year.

The 35-year-old artist is locally known for his hit songs: My Dear and Tindikiti, which he performs at funerals, school functions and other ceremonies.
