Ruto Reveals What He Will Do to Raila After Winning 2017 Elections

Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday warned the Opposition led by Raila Odinga against engaging in violence if they lose in the upcoming General Election.

Speaking at Tononoka grounds in Mombasa County, Ruto divulged that the government was aware of a plan by CORD to cause chaos and make the country ungovernable if they lost in 2017 elections.

The DP announced that if Jubilee wins in next year's Election, they would use all means to ensure no chaos are witnessed, adding that they will take any appropriate action against the Opposition.

“We are telling CORD to stop their jokes, Kenyans do not want to experience post-election violence again and will not give them the leeway to wreck havoc in the event they lose,” Ruto affirmed.

Ruto claimed that CORD was trying to interfere with affairs of the IEBC ahead of the General Election so that they could use the electoral body as an excuse in the event that they lose.

The DP urged the Opposition to leave IEBC to do its work, stating that Kenyans will be the ones to vote and not the commissioners.

“IEBC is a constitutional body charged with the responsibility of conducting elections in this country for all Kenyans. The Opposition should give it time to organise next year’s election without undue interference. Politicians should not bring their confusion in the management of the IEBC,” Ruto stated.

Ruto has been in the Coast for the past four days to campaign for Jubilee in a region perceived to be an ODM stronghold.
