See How Villa Rosa Kempinski Honoured Kenya Sevens Team

The Kenya Sevens players have since Sunday been basking in their hard-earned glory following the historic win at the eighth leg of HSBC World Series in Singapore where Coach Benjamin Ayimba's boys bagged the main cup.

In the series of stately recognitions for the team, the luxurious Villa Rosa Kempinski on Thursday honoured the Shujaa, who carried the pride of the country high for the world over to watch.

After meeting the President, the Shujaa were warmly received at Kempinski, where they were treated to a three-hour fun-filled session.

“We are elated to host this conquering team in our hotel. Their achievement is an embodiment of what hard work and determination can achieve,” said hotel’s General Manager Manish Nambiar.  

In honour of the rugby champions, the five-star hotel hosted the team to a high-profile cocktail, that Kenyans.co.ke was invited and was graced by personalities drawn from corporate, media, government and private sectors.

Among the guests present at the invites-only party were; Industrialist and BIDCO Chief Executive Officer Vimal Shah, IMG Events &PR Managing Director Peter Gacheru, Oracle Kenya Boss Dr Gilbert Saggia, renowned radio personality Caroline Mutoko and the Kenyan all-boy band Sauti Sol.

Former Presidential candidate Peter Kenneth, entrepreneur Esther Passaris, TNA Chairman Johnson Sakaja, and renowned publishing editor and political analyst Barrack Muluka were also lined up to celebrate the Kenyan boys.

Villa Rosa Kempinski has been at the forefront rewarding talents and supporting sports in the country, including last and this year’s sponsorship of Sports Personality of the Year (SOYA), which the hotel has assured to once more sponsor in 2017.
