Top ODM MP Vows to Leave Party Citing Poor Leadership

Nakuru West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama has declared his intentions to leave the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) .

Speaking in his constituency the ODM legislator has said his relationship with the party has gotten worse and he is not comfortable, Citizen TV reports.

Arama has also accused ODM party of lacking leadership and discipline.

The MP has vowed to work with the Jubilee government noting that his good relations with Kenyatta's government has greatly benefited his constituents.

Arama has announced that he will be seeking re-election on a different party ticket come 2017.

According to The Standard the Nakuru MP has also hit back at the the opposition for engaging in what he described as partisan politics, which he said would not develop the country.

Last year Arama was among four ODM legislators who were de-whipped by the party over what was said to be cooperation with the Jubilee government.

Early this year the MP was implicated in an audio recording by Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba of being part of a bribery scam linking members in a parliamentary committee.
