Two Al Shabaab Suicide Bomber Suspects Arrested in Kenya

Two men suspected to be Al Shabaab suicide bombers have been arrested on the Kenyan Somalia border.

The two, Mursal Mohamed Hassan and Abdulahi Abikar, are believed to be part of a 5 member group which was headed to Nairobi but their plans were thwarted when the two got nabbed by KDF Special Forces unit deployed on special operations (SF-SO-Unit) and the other three were forced to flee back to Somalia

The incident comes barely 2 days after another operation where 3 men believed to be Al Shabaab militants tried to attack Wajir County offices but anti terrorism police fought back. See: Gunfire Reported in Wajir.

The special forces unit that arrested the suspects is said to have been acting on intelligence reports from a joint team composed of the National Intelligence Service and the Directorate of Military Intelligence.

The KDF is however yet to give an official comment on the incident.
