The controversial Jubilee bigwig is also faced with another civil suit after he supposedly linked the Coalition For Reforms and Democracy(CORD) leader Raila Odinga  to the collapse of Mumias sugar company.

According to Raila, Duale claimed that the problems which were facing Mumias Sugar company, had not begun in Uhuru's tenure adding that Raila owed the company 40 million shillings. Odinga said that Duale went on and asked western legislators to visit the former Prime Ministers' office to collect the money.
