Uhuru Leaves Mombasa Leaders Crying Foul

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of neglecting and snubbing county leaders during his Coastal tour.

Joho faulted Kenyatta of leaving him out of all functions recently been held within Mombasa town despite him being the county's boss.

He further cried foul claiming that he had neither been informed nor invited to any function since the President arrived in the region, just because he was in the Oppostion.

“I am not aware of anything. These people hate Mombasa. We didn’t expect anything different from them anyway. Let them do whatever they like. “It is not right but it is okay. They are the bosses. There is no problem,” Joho told the Star.

Kenyatta held various functions around the region but was not accompanied by either Joho or Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar.

In December 2015, Joho was quoted vehemently declaring allegiance to the Opposition.

“I’m in the opposition. I’m supposed to campaign for my party. Do they want me to be their campaigner? Let them be. Raila Odinga will be the next president," he said.

On Tuesday night, the Head of State toured took a walk in the Old Town, inspecting electrification projects where he was only conspicuously accompanied by Mvita MP Sheriff Nassir.
