Underage Boys Attack Man Over Cigarette

Two boys were on Wednesday sentenced to two years in juvenile jail after admitting to having assaulted a man over a cigarette.

The boys conceded to the charges leveled against them before a Nakuru Court and confessed to assaulting James Kuria on May 13 in Njoro Sub-County.

The recently circumcised boys were smoking when Kuria saw them and advised them otherwise. It was after this that the boys reacted violently, The Star reports.

The boys aged 16 and 17, however, argued that they attacked Kuria because he had harassed them.

They were ordered to serve their sentence at Shikutsa Institution for Young Criminal Offenders.
