Police have launched investigations into an incident where a bomb was found outside a church in Kiambu on Sunday.
The explosive is said to have been discovered placed behind the rear wheel of a Toyota Platz vehicle outside Furaha Worship Centre Church.
Confirming the incident Kiambu OCPD Stephen Ng’etich said the bomb was taken away and detonated by officers from the bomb police unit.
Ng’etich noted that had the bomb not been discovered, it could have potentially blown up three storey buildings, Citizen Digital reports.
The county leaders led by MP Jude Njomo have called for the immediate installation of CCTV cameras, saying they have helped in the tracing of the suspects.
