Wanted Terror Suspect Arrested With Explosives

A wanted terror suspect was early Tuesday arrested with explosives.

The suspect Khalid Mohamed is said to have been arrested after a combined team of ATPU, GSU and General duty officers raided his house within Bondeni area, Mombasa.

The detectives recovered one Russian made hand grenade, one detonator and a plastic explosive, Citizen News reports.

The officers are also reported to have recovered a truck belonging to the suspect in the Boni forest, which is alleged to have been used to supply weapons and food.

Mohamed who has been on the police watch list is also said to have recruited several youth into the Al-Shabaab militia group in Somalia.

According to the police, Khalid was re-arrested following investigations that revealed he was still engaging and communicating with other Al Shabaab operatives.
